The platted streets in Crestone run north and south. East west streets are avenues, which, of course, are also streets. With the exception of Galena avenue, which has an 80 foot right of way, all streets have a right of way of 60 feet. Streets on the edges of town may be wider or narrower as they intersect with the town boundary. All streets are the property of the owner of the adjoining properties. Although the town, on the advice of its attorney, claims fee ownership of town streets, the town has only a right of way, which has been established by use of the platted road by either the public or the town.
