Bob King was a Crestone resident who lived in the old pool hall on Galena Avenue. When he was about 80 years old he began building a modern house to the west of his house. He worked on it for about 5 years but never finished it or lived in it. The Kings homesteaded on San Isabel Creek but Bob and his family moved to Crestone where he lived most of his life. He was a veteran of the Korean War and devotedly cared for the graves of veterans in the Crestone Cemetery.
