Overgrazing is confining animals in an area that does not produce adequate feed for them. It results in bare ground, except for poisonous or extremely unpalatable plants. It happens when someone tries to keep animals on lots in town that are too small. Should the animals be removed, the land usually ends up covered with weeds of one sort or another.
