AnimePLUS is a Romanian anime site owned by Mangaboy and currently administrated by Falcon.
The site appeared in around 2007, after the fell of aplustv.ro and its redirection to animaxtv.ro, which was until then under the same administration of Mangaboy. The intent was to keep the user base in the same place, as they liked it. This was confusing for the user, in a similar way to the appearence of anime-mania.ro after the fell of manga-anime.ro, but some of the userbase had remained there, while others had moved to the Animax forum, while yet others moving to other sites or leaving anime forums for good. In these confusing times, the site was striving to survive and flourish, to the displeased Romanian staff over at the Animax forum, which began often and destructive DdoS attacks at the site. This forced Mangaboy to change the formats, to SMF, to the displease now of the users, who had accommodated themselves over the year with the older and more simplistic skin and format, but also more vulnerable to such attacks. The SMF proceeded well as far as its technical was viewed, however many users saw a more and more similarity with the brothering website manga-anime.ro. This is why, in a last attempt to please the users, the format was moved to MyBB, one that proved to cause chaos, mainly because of the now big and beaten database which had took all it could take until then, and another conversion was too much for it. The site began to run slowly until it was proven impossible to navigate on it.
The later decision, although hard to take, was to wipe clean the old database and start over. Having had experience with him, Mangaboy contacts Falcon to remake the whole site, in his usual PHP Fusion format. With this, a new philosophy and rebranding starts, sweeping over the old mentalities and ideas about the site. One of his first implements was a good wallpapers gallery which was to top all others.
