Bill Blankenship (born December 12 1956(1956-12-12)) is an American football coach. He currently serves as wide receivers coach at University of Tulsa under head coach Todd Graham and offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. Priorly, Blankenship coached 14 seasons at Union Public Schools in Tulsa, where he compiled a record of 154-26. His teams qualified for the state playoffs 14 times, reached the quarterfinals 10 times and the semifinals in nine seasons. Blankenship's teams made the state championship game eight consecutive times — 1998-2005. He decided to leave Tulsa Union in 2005 in order to pursue a career in the collegiate ranks, but eventually had to sit out a year, before he was hired by Graham to coach at his alma mater.
Blankenship played quarterback for Tulsa from 1976-79. Among his teamates where Lovie Smith and Dave Rader.
