Breckland is a district in Norfolk, England. Its council is based in Dereham.

It was formed on April 1, 1974 by the merger of the borough of Thetford, the urban districts of East Dereham, and Swaffham, and Wayland Rural District, Mitford and Launditch Rural District and Swaffham Rural District.
