Broden James Borg (born 10 December 1987) is an Australian politician and councillor on Melton Shire Council, elected on 30 November 2008.

Background
Broden Borg attended school at Melton Secondary College, being an active participant in extra curricular activities. He was the President of the Student Senate - the school's Student Representative Council for several years. From high school, he went to Victoria University's Melton campus to study a Bachelor of Education.
Campaign
Borg's campaign surrounded largely on media performance. He was given wide media coverage in local newspapers, particularly on campaigning against the closure of Victoria University's Melton Campus. He teamed up with local Labor state parliamentarian Don Nardella to gain some momentum from the issue. He also campaigned with Don Nardella and Australian Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard at Melton's Djerriwarrh Festival to gain some votes from Coburns Ward's blue collar voters.
Time in Office
Broden's short tenure in office has involved calls upon the public for an agenda for his four years in office. Broden's three core focuses are the Melton campus of Victoria University, an annual hard rubbish collection and animal welfare within the community.
