Digital images uploaded to Wikinfo should generally be 150kb or less. If there is important detail which would be lost, larger images may be uploaded. Many of the images on Wikimedia Commons, the image depository of the Wikimedia Foundation are quite large, as modern digital cameras produce images of several megabytes, see for example this 1.39MB image, which was reduced in size and uploaded as a 142KB file. Note that no significant detail of use to the reader was lost.

If an image in the .svg format, does not display properly, if you can't fix it, please replace it with an image in the .png format. Almost all .svg images will display properly, but occasionally images which display properly on Wikipedia, do not display properly here.
