Kofi Annan

Kofi Atta Annan (born April 8 1938 in Kumasi, Ghana) is the seventh Secretary-General of the United Nations. In 2001, he received the Nobel Peace Prize.
His wife is the half-niece of Raoul Wallenberg.
Annan studied at the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi (Ghana), Macalester College in St Paul, Minnesota (United States, 1961), [[Institut universitaire des hautes �tudes internationales]] in Geneva (Switzerland, 1961-62) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1971-72).
