Power plant

Power plant is a general term that refers to any facility that is capable of generating electric power using various techniques including fuel combustion, wind energy, solar energy, nuclear energy, or gravity-assisted water flow (see also electricity generation). The term is also used to refer to the engine in ships, aircraft and other large vehicles.
