This is my Personal Page on Wikinfo. I'm one of many users.
I'm Barbara Shack. I have a great many interests. I did a course with the Open University studying psychology and general social science at undergraduate level. I feel this helped me to understand the Scientific method better.
Currently I’m an amateur astronomer. I 'm not the type of Amateur astronomer who points a home made telescope at the sky. In Birmingham where I live there is too much light pollution for that. I read up about astronomy and try to draw my own conclusions. I’m writing up my own conclusions (together with other people’s work here and on Wikipedia. Currently (July 2007) I’m editing, Rare Earth hypothesis and Fine-tuned universe. At the moment,I think the Rare Earth Hypothesis article which I imported from Wikipedia may overstate the case that the Earth is designed. I'm working on that.
I would very much welcome comments or critical review of my edits of these scientific articles by qualified physical scientists. Anyone who can improve the articles is welcome. On Wikinfo it’s not customary to edit another user’s article. If you agree or disagree with me you may start a new article and link it to mine. You can also post comments on my talk page on the talk page of the relevant article.
Wikinfo is a good idea as well as Wikipedia. It's good the two have different ways of doing things. Diversity aids choice as in Rational Choice Theory. EvoWiki is a new Wiki I also like. It’s cool and intelligent.
