Volkenhass (German) is a prejudice, dislike or hostility towards different races. It is common to both animals and humans. People naturally felt this throughout history and acted upon this feeling. In modern times, this sentiment is under assault by ideological utopian forces which seek to eradicate this from the heart of man.

Basic description
Humans and animals all have a sense of belonging. Belonging in a sense is a type of loyalty and sense of love. Both loyalty and love have for its focus one thing. Anything outside that locus (the object of love or loyalty) engenders a sense of dislike and prejudice. Love for one's kind has for its concomitant hostility towards others that are different. Belonging and volkenhass act in tandem.
Purpose
Together, belonging and volkenhass are the glue that keeps races together. Without these two in concert, races disintegrate.
Volkenhass makes one turn away from what is foreign. Its purpose is to keep the solidarity and cohesion of races, cultures and societies. Volkenhass ensures marrying with one's own kind and prevents miscegenation. Volkenhass ensures that boundaries are kept between cultures and different races. It prevents mixing.
As man is a social animal, volkenhass serves as a survival instinct. Man operates in groups for survival and subsistence. Man has to operate in a group. Volkenhass is a device of preservation.
Volkenhass, since it prevents the coalescing of races, is a major impediment to globalization efforts.
In Nature
Volkenhass is readily observable in nature. In animals it is instinctive. It is the natural observation between cats and dogs. Dogs naturally chase after cats. But when dogs meet each other, they know naturally their other.
Lion prides, Wolf packs, differentiate each other. Members of one wolf pack are recognizable to each other but naturally attack members of another. Bees and ant colonies of the same species do not intermingle.

Effect in human society
Volkenhass is the motivator behind racial epithets. It may also lead to physical violence and murder.
Differences between races and the engendering of racial animosity leads to wars and genocides.

Each racial group has volkenhass toward another. There are all different types.

Volkenhass has its corollary in the family as well. Children of divorced or widowed parents have animosity towards new partners within the family structure. Sometimes this can be overcome; in other cases not. New children that are not related like foster or late adopted children may feel animus by their new siblings.

Since what was naturally occurring through history is now recognizable and quantifiable, and since it is under attack to eradicate it completely, volkenhass needs to be put in its proper perspective and used morally.
As Aristotle noted, major human behavior exist as either virtue or vices. Virtue exists in the Golden Mean whereas vices are the deficiency or the excess of the behavior. Volkenhass can be either a vice or a virtue. In the deficiency of volkenhass, it causes the disintegration of race and culture. The excess of volkenhass leads to crime and excessive degradation of the other.
Volkenhass in order for it to effect good must exist in the golden mean. It is limited but not omitted from one's or societies life. It has purpose.
It is harmful to eradicate it. It is morally wrong to magnify it. Volkenhass serves a purpose needful for the maintenance of race and culture.
Marxism
Communism attacks this basic sentiment because it seeks to undermine nations, ethnicities and/or races. In its goals of Internationalism, it seeks to deracinate.
Under Cultural Marxism, volkenhass has been criminalized. This criminalization of volkenhass comes under the term Hate Crime. It is the agenda of political correctness.
