With respect to redirects Wikinfo's policy differs radically from Wikipedia and most other wikis. While #REDIRECT [[name of article]] will work, because Wikinfo is a dictionary, any word or phrase will support at least a note about usage, information about alternate meanings of the word, etc.,

THEREFORE:

Where a redirect might be used, or is used on Wikipedia replace it with a "See [[name of article]]" phrase.

A line or two below, if there is no current comment about the word, place the search aid Template:SS, {{SS}}. If there is comment, or other content, place Template:SS, {{SS}} at the bottom of the page. This template displays as alternative places to search for the article title. It can be useful both to a reader and to an editor for finding new or additional information. Don't worry about loosing the reader to other sites; regular users of Wikinfo have Wikinfo bookmarked and will be back.

Deleting redirects

Special situations where redirects should be kept

• If they were until recently titles of articles which have gathered until that moment significant coverage and used as external links in other sites;
• If Wikipedia article link to that title; the reason is, on Wikinfo, importing Wikipedia material is usually done "in blocks" and red links are rarely checked or corrected (in the best case, the articles are imported again and we get double articles with different names). Wikinfo has little man power to fix redirects to subjects of which the titles were deleted. So they should be kept.

Situations where they should be deleted

• Short-life typos of the title of a page that has minimum chances for its title to be wikified either on Wikipedia or Wikinfo.
• Redirects to deleted material (note, redirects to unimported yet material should be kept, if the material can be imported under the Wikinfo guidelines - no personal attacks on private persons etc. - and you are encouraged to import the redirected article/template if possible); material on Wikinfo is deleted for good reasons and it usually stays deleted.
