A Poem, is a composition of words (metric or freestyle), often composed according to a rhythmic pattern. Poems are not infrequently evocative of lofty thoughts and sentiments, with associative allusions, proceeding from imaginative and idealistic sources. A poem may be continuous in form, or may be divided into verses. See Poetry.
