Pookah in Irish mythology and folklore is a small demon or nature spirit of evil intent. A pookah's actions could be as insignificant as pranks and inconvenience, or they could result in disease, crop failures, and starvation. A belief in pookahs was also found in England and Wales, and Shakespeare's character of Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream is a pookah/puck.

Also known as pukah, a friend to any who can see it. A staunch defender of it's friends, earning it the mistaken classification as a daemon by many. It can take the form of any sentient being. It often senses when a soul is in great need of nonjudgemental comfort. It will appear as something it feels will give the most. whoever can see it and responds is a friend for life.
