The Wikinfo Owl
Owl of Wisdom

Wikinfo:Village pump is the community's common talk page. Posting there invites discussion from any or all community members. Whatever else you do, you should end your posting to talk pages with four tildes ~~~~ . The reason you should is, your time of posting appears. The editing identity that you were using appears. So then, other people can reply to you. Ongoing discussion is easily followed. That should be done on talk pages.

The Community Portal is the second selection in the navigation menu that appears as the top left box on Wikinfo pages. Clicking it will bring you to this page. Pages like this one, that the community uses, have the wikinfo owl on them. The founder's vision for Wikinfo, help with editing, and the community's talk page are easily recognized by the owl.

The navigation menu has help as its sixth selection. That will take you to Help:Contents, a page full of help links. Experienced editors find the Wikinfo:Library useful to learn more about editing, about creating signed articles, about original research and other topics.

Wikinfo plans to develop a Help Desk for brand new editors but hasn't done it yet. And it may become possible for wikinfo to be able to helpully respond to just any question left by anyone on any topic. That hasn't yet been developed and the articles about how to become a contributing editor have not been completely written yet. Be bold and try out the Wikinfo:Sandbox where you can edit and play, join us, develop an editing identity and most of all, have fun.
