Homegirl Café & Catering is a restaurant and catering service in Los Angeles which is one of the 6 locations of Homeboy Industries, a non-profit organization which employes and trains youth. Breakfast, lunch, and a Saturday brunch are served. Clients in the 18 month program have a gang background. The restaurant was awarded three stars by Restaurant Opportunities Centers United in its 2013 ROC National Diners’ Guide which evaluates restaurants with respect to wages and working conditions.[1]

We are located on the corner of Alameda and Bruno in Chinatown, across the street from the Metro Gold Line station and three blocks north of Union Station. Customer parking is directly behind the cafe, and there's street parking, as well.
Monday: 8 am to 1:30 pm (they close early for staff training and curriculum)
Tue-Fri: 8 am to 2:30 pm
Saturday: 9 am to 3 pm (kitchen closes at 2:30)
Sunday: closed

Additional products and activities

Tortilla strips and Homeboy Salsa in several flavors are manufactured; they are available in the deli section of supermarkets in Southern California. Vegetables for use in cooking is grown in mini-farms.
