Processed food

Processed food is food manufactured from ingredients rather than from natural food. For example, a coffee creamer may be manufactured from oils, coloring, and flavorings without inclusion of any dairy products. Processed foods can be wholesome, safe, and nutritious, or not, depending on their ingredients.

Counterfeit food

Counterfeit products which are fraudulently labeled or manufactured are sometimes offered, as are ingredients used in process food. A manufacturer of processed food needs to monitor the authenticity of all ingredients.[1]
