This article is about the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) formed in 2001. For other parties with similar names, see Communist Party of Turkey.

The Communist Party of Turkey (Türkiye Komünist Partisi, TKP) is a political party in Turkey. It is known as the TKP since changing the name of the party from the Party for Socialist Power (Sosyalist İktidar Partisi, SİP) in 2001.

Election results

  • Turkish general election, 1999: 37,671 votes (0.12%) as Sosyalist İktidar Partisi
  • Turkish general election, 2002: 50,496 votes (0.19%)
  • Turkish general election, 2007: 80,092 votes (0.22%)
  • Turkish general election, 2011: 64,006 votes (0.15%)

In the 2007 election, the party obtained its best result (by percentage) in Ardahan Province on the border with Georgia, where it got 787 votes (1.42%).[1] TKP does not maintain offices in Ardahan.
