A worker center is an organization which represents immigrant and other workers in the United States who are poorly represented or unrepresented by mainstream unions.[1]

Worker centers include Domestic Workers United which has represented housekeepers and nannies in New York and Hawaii; the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, active in Florida vegetable growing; and the Workers Defense Project which represents construction workers in Texas. The workers are mostly immigrants from Latin America, many undocumented.[1]
