Real?

Is this an existing ideology? What parties/countries have used it? A young communist 18:30, 29 July 2011 (MSD)

Many parties are Islamic communist per se(but there is some Islamic socialist countries/parties e. g. Libya) however there is a Islamic Marxist group called the People's Mujahedin of Iran.

Wikipedia says that the People's Mojahideen of Iran (that's what it's really called, and yes, I know that it's a wrong spelling but that's what the group is most often called) is "formerly describes as "Islamist Marxist". Well, there are actually at least two examples of someone who may be mentioned under that term: that's Siad Barre in Somalia, where Wikipedia says that "the party's ideology was also partly inspired by Islam", that fat man who started war against Ethiopia. And so we have Afghanistan, where Mohammad Najibullah was president in 1987-1992 and he was a Communist, and also mixed Pisslam into the politics. My general opinion is that socialism and theocracy can't be mixed. And Libya, yes, there it's Islamic socialism, but Gaddafi never called himself a Communist, though he's a Socialist. So that isn't any example of "Islamic Communism". And I'm not sure about Islam may be mixed into Socialism. What I mean with that, isn't the "opium of the people" thing, because there are now some people who believe this was meant positive, as medical opium (though I found that pretty redicolous). But as long as these theories have come up, and Marx isn't here to say what he really meant with it, I don't think we shall come with conclusion about that religion itself is against Socialism. But what I mean is that elements in religion itself may be against socialism. WHen it comes to Islam, I'm especially thinking about women's rights in Islam. Doesn't Islam say that men are "more successfull" and doesn't Islam say that women have to wear veils? That is - at least in my opinion - against Socialism, who want equality. So is Socialism and Islam possible to combine? Especially I'm critical to Islam and Communism mixed. And Islam says that homosexuality shall be punished by death, do you mean that may be accepted if you're following Marxist theories? I don't think so. Jewish communism is not acceptable either in my opinion, because Judaism is also against the principles of Socialism. Generally I think that theocracy and socialism can't be combined because they are opposites. OK, religious people of all religions (including Islam and Judaism) may become socialists and communists, but not if they insists to mix religion into politics. Especially when it comes to mixing Islam or Judaism into socialism. --Nocomrade 17:31, 7 October 2012 (MSK)
We need, in our factual function, to report what is, or has been. As advocates, an essay may be advanced. User:Fred Bauder Talk 19:21, 7 October 2012 (MSK)
Some muslims who are not-so fundamentalist, have supported the socialist movement. However, I have never actually heard of the term "islamic communism". Most authors refer to it as islamic socialism. In my opinion, this article should be merged with Islamic socialism. —
