Featured articles are considered to be the best articles in Communpedia. They must contain the topic's most important information, and provide references to reliable sources (for controversial statements). Ideally, they reflect a Common point of view.

1. Anyone can nominate an article or vote for it, but you must sign your votes.
2. To nominate an article, begin a new section with the article's title, then write {{support|Nominating}}, or {{comment|Nominating}} (if you don't want to vote in favor of the article you are nominating).
3. To vote in favor, write {{Support}}. To vote against, write {{Oppose}}. Give reasons for your votes. If you simply wish to make a neutral comment, use {{Comment}}
4. 3 votes in favor mean the article will be featured. If there are 3 votes in favor, but one vote against, you will need one more vote in favor, and so on.
5. Nominations will be removed if there are two more votes against than votes in favor. For example, if there are three votes against and only one in favor.
6. Articles will be featured when they have 3 votes in favor, as decribed above. Articles will remain featured for no less than 1 day, before moving on to the next featured article.
7. Articles will also be featured in case they have only one or two positive votes and no negative votes, after two weeks.

Candidates

The fracking article has been featured for almost 5 years. Might be time for a change. I think that Communism is a possibility. Also, I recall XXPowerMexicoXX saying he thought Surplus value and Historical materialism were possibilities. Capitalism, as it appears on the Wikia site, but not here (yet) is also good, I think. It has the advantage that several of us have made significant contributions to it; whereas Surplus value is almost entirely by me, and Historical materialism and Communism are mostly by me. I am starting to study surplus value, which was central to Marx's theories of capitalist crisis and the emergence of proletarian socialism. Right now I am reading Chapter 8 of Capital Volume I. I think there is great potential for creating a very interesting and informative article. I suspect the concept has been and is broadly misunderstood across broad demographics, including, in some instances. leaders of Communist parties in power.
